Why the school has a Code of Conduct
A Code of Conduct sets shared expectations for behaviour so that students can learn in an environment that is respectful, safe and fair. It is not simply a list of punishments; it explains the habits and responsibilities that make school life work well.
Respect
Students should speak and behave respectfully with classmates, teachers, staff and visitors. Bullying, harassment, intimidation and deliberate humiliation are not acceptable.
Responsibility
Students are expected to attend regularly, complete work honestly, care for school property and follow classroom, laboratory, sports and transport instructions.
Academic integrity
Copying, cheating or presenting another person’s work as one’s own prevents real learning. Students should ask for help when they do not understand something.
Digital conduct
School systems, devices and online communication should be used responsibly. Password sharing, misuse of images, harmful messages and unauthorised access are not acceptable.
Safety
Students should follow safety directions and immediately report situations that may place someone at risk.
Restorative approach
When problems occur, the school should aim to understand what happened, protect students, correct behaviour and help students learn from the situation in an age-appropriate way.
