Parent–School Partnership
Clear routines make school life smoother for everyone.
These guidelines are written for Sunrise families and can be updated by management as school policies change.
Attendance & Punctuality+
- Students should attend regularly and arrive in time for the school day and scheduled activities.
- Parents should inform the school through the approved channel when absence is unavoidable.
- Long or repeated absence should be discussed with the class teacher or school office so learning gaps can be addressed.
School Communication+
- Check notices, the academic calendar, portal updates and messages regularly.
- When contacting the school about a student, include the child's name, class and admission number where relevant.
- Keep mobile number, email, residential address and emergency contacts updated with the school.
Learning & Assessment+
- Support a regular homework and revision routine without completing work on the child's behalf.
- Follow examination schedules, project deadlines and result/PTM dates issued by the school.
- Use teacher feedback and report cards to plan support rather than comparing children with one another.
Health, Safety & Wellbeing+
- Do not send a child to school when the child is unwell or when medical advice recommends rest.
- Inform the school about important medical or emergency information that may affect care during school hours.
- Encourage respectful behaviour and report bullying, unsafe conduct or safeguarding concerns promptly.
Transport & Arrival+
- Use only the stop/route confirmed by the school and follow the published transport timing.
- For younger children, an authorised adult should be available at the designated pick-up/drop point as required by school instructions.
- Do not request unsafe or unauthorised stops and do not give operational instructions directly to drivers while the vehicle is in service.
Uniform, Belongings & Digital Use+
- Follow the current uniform and identification requirements communicated by the school.
- Label important belongings and avoid sending unnecessary valuables to school.
- Students should use school digital systems responsibly and protect passwords and private information.
PTM & Partnership+
- Use PTMs and scheduled meetings for constructive discussion about progress, wellbeing and support.
- Raise concerns through the appropriate school channel so they can be documented and resolved responsibly.
- School and family should work as partners with the shared goal of helping the child learn and grow.
